Hi, I’m Meta Investor!

I’m a university student from Czech who is interested in the financial market and the opportunities it provides. Despite my age, I was watching the stock market for more than ten years and build my strategy of investing. I always look ‘behind’ each investment and try to see the bigger picture. Here comes the word ‘meta’ = ‘beyond’.  

I started quite early (even with the help of my parent’s account as I was not old enough to open my own). During the first four years of learning how the stock market works I managed to make about 5000$ out of 4000$ – that’s about 6,25%/year – not the highest result, but I learned a lot and what I love the most:

‘I learned how to do something while getting paid for it.’

How did I continue?

As I got more interested in investing, I found out many, even older people around me, don’t have an idea about many investment options. Sure they know about the stock market, but almost on that word, their knowledge ended. No more information than ‘it is dangerous’ – YES, it is a lot dangerous, no doubt about that, but it is possible to succeed there!

I continued to speak with others about investment and showed them my strategy. Many of them liked it and followed my principles. We shared our knowledge and strengthened the strategy. After a while, I decided to build this website to naturally expand this circle for anyone curious and get more feedback from other people as well and share my experience in return.

I’m still a student; I work just part-time jobs. Therefore I’m cautious about what I do with my hard-worked money and don’t want to waste them. Moreover, I love long-term traveling, which is quite expensive as well. Hence my portfolio may not be the richest, but everybody had to start somewhere. Another thing that gets me excited is the documentation of my journey from zero. I think it will add value to this blog over time.

Should I wait till I get proper work and income and then starting this blog?

There is simply no reason for this. I’m living to the standard of my income, I do like my comfort and spends money on whatever I need, but I always manage to save something without a problem. Instead of leaving this money to inflation, I decided I can learn the useful skill of investing and do something with the money I save. After my salary increases, I will already know what to do with this money.

Why did I start?

I’m honestly expecting those two things from this blog:
1) Share my knowledge with you and get a reference in return, which may put me in the right way and help to avoid stupid mistakes.
2) It should help me to get more educated in this area and firm my passive income.

My passive income goals:

150€/month❌

I will be able to live in 90% of the world in a tent i.e.; I will earn enough for my food expenses.

 

400€/month❌

I would be able to sleep in hotels a few times and be self-sustaining of basic needs while traveling i.e.; all my expenses except rent will be covered.

 

1000€/month❌

I could live a humble life in my born-town Prague i.e.; all my expenses will be covered, including rent. I will be financially free at this moment.

 

My goals are quite more modest as you can see, but I have to start somewhere 😉
